After the parade, there was the polar plunge. I just still can't wrap my mind around anyone having the urge to try this.
Seriously.
This guy started by pulling off his tear away pants and then tearing off his t-shirt
before he jumped in the water.
And how cute are these girls? They're wearing underwear on their heads. Of course.
This little fella couldn't have been more than about 7 years old.
And these gals must have had a big group of friends in the audience, because as soon as they stepped onto the ice, a bunch of people started chanting, "Bel-ly-flop, Bel-ly-flop" One of them did.
And made an impressive splash.
It was a pretty chilly day. In fact right after this, Joey and I had to head back to the car because her feet were so cold. So we missed the coffin races.
Jenny, however, stayed. Click on over here if you want to see the rest of the pictures that she took.
But for today, I think I'll just leave you with another doggie picture.

Brrrrrrr!!!!! That looks so very cold! Totally fun photos & event, but I am with ya -- cannot bend my brain around wanting to do that, either!! :D
The dog shot was the best of them all!
I don't get it either, really. I don't even like to have to put my hands under the cold water to wash my hands.
that is insanity!
i love winter a lot but never ever would i be tempted to do a polar plunge!!
it was fun to see your pictures though :)
