Guess What?

This little girl was found on the side of a highway. She had no tags or collar. And as long as she doesn't have one of those homing microchips (we'll have them check when we take her to the vet) she'll be living with us.

She's so sweet and very mellow.

No name yet, but some of those in the running are...
Sheila (Joey)
Zelda (Joey)
Rocky (Me- she's got a raccoon tail)
Jeff Jr. (Um, yah)

We're open to suggestions.

OK, here's one more picture of her (sleeping in our white paper recycling box).

I'd forgotten how nice it is to have a kitty around.

Added Note- We've decided to call her Isadora.

  3. I know you didn't ask for votes, but I am taken with the name "Zelda". She has a very sweet look about her.

Maybe Paxil, because she's so calming?

  4. She's so cute.
My parents found a momma cat and her 2 kittens living under porch last fall. Momma got adopted and the two kittens live with my parents now. Despite being terrified of humans for the first half of their life, they now make great pets.

  5. I think the kid in the family should get to pick the name.

  6. Anonymous, we have 4 kids, so we can't really do that (unless we want her to be something like Zelda-Pokey-Rose-Garfield). The oldest ones just haven't chimed in with their suggestions yet. Probably, we'll take all the ideas and put it up for a vote. (Sometimes we're a democracy around here.)

Also, now Joey is leaning more towards Rocky, but I don't actually think it fits her personality and am liking Zelda more. We'll see what the others come up with.

    Right now she's Kitty Girl.

  7. What's wrong with Kitty Girl? You could spell it Kittiegerl.
We had a great cat that was called Here Kitty-Kitty, even on her official vet and rabies records!

  8. (Hugs) for rescuing that beauty! She looks like she has a lot of spunk. I love tabbies. My husband has agreed that if a stray dog happens upon us next week while we're camping, we can keep it (we just lost our best buddy last week to old age).
I've always liked Kitty Bean, after an old local Ann Arbor singer (Frank Allison) my hubby and I used to go see all the time. He sang a wonderful song about his cat Kitty Bean.

  10. How adorable! I like "Rocky" :) Of course it might be because I have a Rocky here (same Raccoon tail, but a big guy).

    Mellow kitties are the bomb!

  12. She is adorable and I want her! lol

I'd go with either Zelda or Rocky. Or Zelda Rocky. All our pets have (or had when they were living) middle names (Emperor Shiva, Tremor Trouble, Cody Visa, etc.).

Perhaps you could go that route? She's just so darn CUTE!

  13. GOODNESS! She is a total keeper! I would know, huh? ;)

We are big Zelda fans at our house, so you know where our vote goes... not that you're asking for them... though I DO love the suggestion of "Smitten" because one look at her and you'd just HAVE TO BE!

    Adorable.

    Love you!
